RIVERVIEW, Mo. (AP) — A 29-year-old man who police say was fatally shot before his body was found in a burning vehicle near St. Louis was a highly visible activist during protests over the 2014 police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson.
St. Louis County police say Daren Seals’ body was found early Tuesday in Riverview near Ferguson. His death is being investigated as a homicide. Authorities spelled his name as Daren, but other records show it as Darren.
Eighteen-year-old Brown, who was black and unarmed, was shot and killed in August 2014 by white Ferguson police officerDarren Wilson. The death and a grand jury’s decision not to indict Wilson led to sometimes-violent protests.
Viral video shows Seals comforting Brown’s sobbing mother atop a car the night the grand jury’s decision was announced.
Other activists during the Ferguson protests mourned Seals on social media Wednesday.

Shot and found in a burning car? Not good. The rhetoric used against these people has been completely hysterical and it doesn’t take much for the dark history to kick back in.

The cop who did it is completely Innocent. Yea that’s it.
I guarantee this murder will get all the attention “it deserves” with the St. Louis chapter of the KKK (also known as the St. Louis PD) and their wonderful County Prosecutor.
Gee this is like asking Al Capone to investigate the St. Valentines Day massacre.
Who gains from his death?
Who was he challenging?
Who has the weapons and documented desire to murder people?
The police are the answer.
Straight to special prosecutuer with ability to charge any one who doesn’t fully cooperate with obstruction and have them immediately dismissed, with loss of pension and benefits if they don’t jump high enough when told to jump.
No hiding behind any contracts or recognized “courtesy’s” for our uniformed bunch of thugs and murderers. They are asked a question they answer immediately or are charged with obstruction and dismissed. No paid vacations while the white wash is applied.
