Anthony Weiner, the disgraced former lawmaker who was sentenced to 21 months in prison for sending sexually lewd text messages to a 15-year-old girl left the halfway house in the Bronx where he was serving the remainder of his term on Tuesday morning, The New York Post reported.
The former New York congressman and ex-husband of Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin was released three months early from the Bronx halfway home for good behavior. He’s been living there for three months and will remain registered as a Level 1 sex offender.
“It’s good to be out,” Weiner told the New York Post after his release on Tuesday morning. “I hope to be able to live a life of integrity and service. I’m glad this chapter of my life is behind me.”
Weiner’s political career plummeted after he was caught sending inappropriate photos to adult women via Twitter. In 2017 he was caught sexting with a 15-year-old and sentenced to the 21 months, a $10,000 fine and had to register as a sex offender.
“I’m glad this chapter of my life is behind me.”
Too bad it’s not behind the rest of us. No Weiner, no Comey letter, no Trump.
Thanks, Anthony.
There’s the “butterfly effect” and then again, there’s the “open fly effect.”
To be fair, I’m pretty sure Huma is to blame for the emails on his laptop.
coming soon to Fox News…
And then there’s the “butter, fried” effect…
Gag…
