INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The pregnant wife of an Indianapolis pastor has died after police said she was shot during a robbery at her home.
Marion County Coroner’s office manager Marchele Hall said Thursday that 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn was pronounced dead Wednesday. She had been on life support since the shooting Tuesday morning.
Hall says an autopsy will be performed Thursday.
The Indianapolis Star reports that Indianapolis police believe the shooting took place during a robbery, but have revealed few details.
Amanda and Davey Blackburn moved from South Carolina to found the Resonate Church in Indianapolis in 2012. The independent church is located on Indianapolis’ north side.
The couple had recently announced that Amanda Blackburn was 12 weeks pregnant. They already had a toddler son, Weston.
