Alec Baldwin railed against President Donald Trump’s Sunday tweet accusing Saturday Night Live of airing “total Republican hit jobs without retribution.”
Through the Twitter account of the Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation — a non-profit organization founded by the actor and his wife — Baldwin hit back at Trump by asking if his attack against SNL “constitutes a threat to my safety and that of my family?”
I wonder if a sitting President exhorting his followers that my role in a TV comedy qualifies me as an enemy of the people constitutes a threat to my safety and that of my family?

Trump’s Sunday tweet against SNL appeared to refer to the late-night TV show’s most recent cold open, which showed Baldwin satirizing the President’s off-the-walls press conference from the White House Rose Garden on Friday when he announced that he would declare a national emergency.
