And just like that, it’s gone.
Yesterday, we told you about a billboard put up by the North Iowa Tea Party that compared Obama with Hitler and Lenin — complete with photo illustrations. Today, it appears the sign has come down.
Radio Iowa reports that the billboard was papered over this morning.
“It’d be great to have a billboard that’s really actually helpful, that’s not demonstrating fear but demonstrating freedom and that we have solutions and goals,” Ryan Rhodes, chairman of the Iowa Tea Party movement, told Radio Iowa.
“Our message is rising above that. It’s not what we are. I think the fact that it’s down today is a testament that the movement is going to go further,” he said.
