Lewis Pal Facing Felony Charges over Incorrect Filings?

Bill Lowery’s in trouble.

Why? Not only did his firm collectively under-report its income by over $1.5 million, but Lowery, a longtime pal of Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-CA), personally signed many of the most egregiously incorrect filings. Time and again, Lowery affirmed to be true and accurate reports that lowballed his firm’s income by $20,000, $40,000, even $100,000 each. Each one is a potential felony charge.

If the Feds think they can show he signed those reports knowing they were wrong, they’ll likely press for indictments against him. Given how frequently he signed these incorrect reports — and did so repeatedly with the same clients, for such outlandish sums of money — it’s hard to think Justice could resist.

Lowery signed the three disclosures which failed to report nearly $300,000 from Brent Wilkes’ ADCS, affirming that ADCS paid less than a tenth that amount.

He also signed the six consecutive disclosures which, taken together, omitted over $225,000 in fees his firm received from the San Diego-based Foundation for Improvement in Math and Science Education.

Lowery was also the partner who swore to the veracity of six erroneous disclosures for the firm’s work with the Rochester Institute of Technology — those filings underreported income by over $300,000.

He’s not alone in his troubles: The three-and-a-half years of lowballed reports on the South Coast Air Quality Management District were signed by others. Five of the filings were signed by Jeffrey Shockey, and two were signed by partner Lynette Jacquez.

Of course, there are another seventy-odd erroneous reports for the firm, all of which were signed by one of their senior lobbyists. These simply appear to be among the most startling.
