Citizens United: The Mama Grizzlies Are Coming For You! (VIDEO)

September 17, 2010 8:13 a.m.

Not content to help Newt and Callista Gingrich warn the entire country about the dangers from radical Islam in a movie screened at the Newseum in D.C. last week, Citizens United is preparing to warn liberals of the danger they face from the conservative movement’s Mama Grizzlies in a new movie titled “Fire From The Heartland.”

Featuring a variety of conservative pundits (many of whom are based outside of America’s heartland) and elected officials like Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Jean Schmidt (R-OH) and, of course, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, the movie attempts to frame the conservative — and particularly the tea party — movement as one fueled by the fire of the women involved. The trailer, which you can see below, attempts to tie the conservative movement to the women in it, from former Congresswoman Claire Boothe Luce (R-CT) — who served from 1943-1947, and was also both an Eisenhower and Reagan appointee — to conservative firebrand Phyllis Schlafly — who made her mark opposing the Equal Rights Amendment in the 70s — to more modern day conservative pundits, like Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin. They say that the modern political climate has activated women like never before to protect their children and, in fact, according to Dina Loesch, “Motherhood is a political act. Period.”

In the trailer, set to music that wouldn’t be out of place in the Bruckheimer movie “The Rock,” Ann Coulter adds that “the culture has tried to take everything that makes women so strong away from them: their femininity, their morality.”
