Women Vote!, the independent expenditure arm of EMILY’s List, along with the Service Employees International Union, is launching a $1 million ad buy attacking Todd Akin’s “legitimate rape” comments, the group announced Thursday.
The ad targets Akin not only for his infamous rape remarks but also his past statements calling Medicare “unconstitutional” and federal student loans “stage three cancer of socialism.”
The ad is running on broadcast and cable channels in Springfield, St. Louis and Kansas City.
