Will Ferrell reprised his role as “Anchorman” Ron Burgundy Saturday night on a North Dakota newscast.

Ferrell surprised the audience of Bismarck TV station KXMB as part of his “Anchorman 2” promotional tour, according to the Associated Press.

The actor stayed in character, although his fellow broadcasters broke into laughter at some points in the newscast. Ferrell even told co-anchor Amber Schatz she looked “lovely” and asked if she was married in true Ron Burgundy fashion.

“Well I am, so don’t get any ideas,” he responded when Schatz said she wasn’t married.

The actor missed the cue for Burgundy’s famous sign-off at the end of the newscast, however. When prodded by Schatz to deliver the quip before the credits rolled, Ferrell said “Oh? Am I supposed to read that?”

Stay classy, North Dakota.
