The White House issued a veto threat Monday of a House GOP bill to ban abortion after 20 weeks of conception, calling it “an assault on a woman’s right to choose.”
The legislation cleared committee last Thursday and is scheduled for a full House vote on Tuesday.
“If the President were presented with this legislation, his senior advisors would recommend that he veto this bill,” said the White House’s Office of Management and Budget.
