White House Honoring Carole King Tonight

As part of the “In Performance at the White House” series on Wednesday night, singer-songrwriter Carole King will be honored by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, the White House announced.

King will receive the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Vice President Joe Biden will also attend the event, per the White House.
