The Washington Post’s editorial board wrote Tuesday a critical look at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s run for the presidency, and called for GOPers to renounce his candidacy.
The editorial board criticized Republicans who have criticized Trump’s campaign but have vowed to support the GOP nominee. Especially when, as the Post’s board wrote, discounting Trump’s chances of getting the nomination are “no longer viable.”
“For responsible Republicans,” the board wrote, “the season of denial must end.”
The board wrote that a Trump presidency would “fracture American society,” “demolish American prestige,” and “alienate our most important allies.”
The Washington Post has written multiple critiques of Trump’s presidential bid. On Saturday, the board called him a “poison pill” for the Republican party and in November, the board called on GOPers to “stand up to Trump’s bullying.”

So the sages of the Post editorial board seriously think tRump is electable? I wonder if they’re also investing in Sno-cone stands in hell?
Any American that loves the U.S. Constitution and swears to “uphold and defend” it, shoulld renounce Trump, and ask him to drop out, move out of America, he’s no use here, and his wealth should be confiscated as he leaves, he’s a con artist. Or maybe he should just go to jail, do not pass go or collect $200.
I think the “responsible Republicans”–if such a thing exists anymore–are vastly outnumbered. They willingly did this to themselves – and totally deserve it.
Poor Republicans. If they renounce Trump he might go third party; if they don’t, they might end up with him as the party nominee, and get creamed, besides cementing their reputation as the racist/sexist party.
I feel mighty bad for them.
People were saying months ago that it would take The Donald winning the nomination and losing big (no Latino vote, no Muslim vote, no women voters, a small R turnout maybe), before the Rs learned how ruinous he would be to their brand and then would have to reestablish a party based on democratic principles and respect. But the other contestants won’t “renounce” him until they check his poll numbers first because they want a piece of that action.
