Washington, D.C. police released video on Monday they said shows a woman who allegedly identified as a supporter of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump assaulting a black woman wearing a hijab.

Police have classified the incident as a simple assault and are investigating it as a possible hate crime, according to local TV station WJLA.

The unidentified Muslim woman told WJLA that she was sitting outside a Northwest D.C. Starbucks on the night of April 21 when a white woman with blonde hair came up to her and started calling her a “worthless piece of Muslim trash.” She told WJLA the white woman also said that she was voting for Trump and that she hoped he would send “all of you terrorist Muslims out of the country.”

Though the grainy surveillance tape has no audio, the Muslim woman managed to capture a few seconds of cell phone video during the altercation in which the white woman can be heard saying, “You’re a terrorist. So stupid.”

The Muslim woman said she then called 911. The officer who arrived on the scene said the white woman’s comments were protected by the First Amendment, she recounted. After his departure, she said, the alleged Trump supporter circled back to where she was sitting and poured an unidentified liquid over her head.

The alleged victim says she has lived in the neighborhood for six years and had never felt unsafe there before.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the attacker.
