I hope they find a way to protect the US Flags on the stage from any unwanted Donnie groping…
Appears to be a very small Charlotte venue, a theater of some sort, balconies on each side, which are sparsely attended, almost empty as of 4:46. Main floor a smattering of white bald heads and white-haired coiffed oldsters. Some youth. Low energy. No placards. Almost no ball caps, an absence of good old boys. Like a retirement crowd.
The front row was empty, I thought maybe set aside for security reasons. The the PA announcer said a Pastor Mark Burns was set to speak and several black people were led in to fill the front row.
Brief remarks. Here’s Trump.
“I work for you and only for you … the reservation desk for my hotels is to your right!”
Trump is subdued. We must talk about Urban renewal. A new deal for black America.
Safe communities. Great education. High paying jobs.
America first. African Americans deserve a America that puts them first. Asking for black votes.
A white crowd cheering Trump’s commitments to help blacks.
Bragging about $100 million sunk in campaign. FEC last report-$56 million to date.
Clinton represents rigged system. 30 years of Hillary has run the country in the ground.
He looks tired today. I guess he’s got no stamina.
