During an interview with CBS News on Tuesday, Donald Trump, Jr. told his father’s fired campaign manager in not so many words to stay in his own lane.

Trump Jr. was asked to respond to former top aide Corey Lewandowski’s call for campaign chair Paul Manafort to resign. Lewandowski sniped at his former rival after it was revealed that the speech Donald Trump’s wife, Melania, gave at the Republican National Convention lifted a passage from an address First Lady Michelle Obama gave in 2008.

CBS’ Norah O’Donnell asked Trump Jr. to respond to Lewandowski suggesting that error made it seem like it was amateur hour in the Trump campaign.

“There is a reason Paul is in the position that he is today and Corey is not and it is not because Paul is amateur hour,” Trump Jr. said. “It has nothing to do with that.”

He went on to imply that he didn’t think Lewandowski, who became a political commentator on CNN after he was fired from the campaign, was doing a “service” to the campaign.

“I think it is nonsense. I heard that other people ask, ‘Oh is the family on the outs’ with Paul? Total nonsense,” Trump Jr. said.
