As a President infamous for regularly making unsubstantiated claims, President Trump claims he tries to be truthful.
“Well, I try. I do try … and I always want to tell the truth,” he told ABC News Wednesday. “When I can, I tell the truth. And sometimes it turns out to be where something happens that’s different or there’s a change, but I always like to be truthful.”
Goodness gracious … the Boy Scout oath is more clear on the question of truth and integrity.
“But when I speak, I am compelled to say something that makes me look good, which is inevitably and necessarily a lie. It’s not my fault.”
“When I can, I tell the truth.”
He’s lying.
“…It’s not my fault the facts force me to lie…”
