Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump re-upped his criticism on Thursday that Democrat Hillary Clinton is only performing well in the 2016 race because she plays the “woman’s card.”

“Without the woman’s card Hillary would not even be a viable person to run for city council positions,” Trump said during a phone interview with the “Today” show.

After NBC host Savannah Guthrie pressed the billionaire on whether he understands why the comment is demeaning, Trump replied that he’s only speaking the truth.

“I find it to be a true comment,” Trump responded, as quoted by Politico. “I think the only thing she has got going is she’s a woman. She has done a terrible job in so many different ways.”

The frontrunner first used the remark Tuesday night after his sweeping primary victories, when he told supporters, “I think the only card she has is the woman’s card.”

In her victory speech after winning four of five Tuesday contests, Clinton embraced the derogatory comment, telling the crowd, “If fighting for women’s health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in.”
