“The Daily Show” hosted a group of voters likely to support Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday night’s episode with a simple goal: to find out why they support the real estate mogul.
Correspondent Jordan Klepper was “looking for that line” where his supporters would leave him. He couldn’t find that line – even after asking about a potential database for Muslims and Jews.
“I think what everyone is overlooking though is Trump has brought this to the forefront. Maybe it was crude, maybe a lot of us don’t agree with that position, but what he has done is everyone’s talking about it,” one participant said.
Another participant said, “Negative attention sometimes is a good thing. It’s better than no attention at all.”
