Former Gov. Tommy Thompson, now the Republican nominee for Senate in Wisconsin, has mistaken the number of houses he owns, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Thompson responded to a question last week, saying he had three houses. Thompson acknowledged his old farm in his hometown of Elroy, and a house in Madison, plus a nearly 11,000 square foot home in Kissimmee, Florida, near Walt Disney World. When asked if there were any others, he said quickly and simply: “No.”
However, the campaign later responded with a correction, also recognizing his condo off Lake Wisconsin in Sauk County, currently valued at more than $1.3 million, for a total of four houses.
