“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart on Tuesday poked fun at Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) drawn out presidential announcement.
The senator announced on Tuesday that he will run for President in 2016, but he did not take the stage in Louisville, Ky., until a long line of supporters introduced him. Paul also played numerous videos on key issues in his campaign.
“If this president thing doesn’t work out, Rand Paul has a future as the next producer of the Oscars,” Stewart joked.
Stewart noted that even Hillary Clinton, who has yet to announce her run for President, likely grew impatient during Paul’s slow ceremony.
“At this point, even Hillary Clinton was like, ‘Just announce, already please,'” Stewart said.
