Jon Stewart, a late-night television king with a cause but no show, crashed the show of fellow late-night television king Stephen Colbert on Thursday night to deliver an important message for Congress: Pass the Zadroga Act and give healthcare to 9/11 first responders.
But no one will hear Stewart’s plea unless he “Trump’s it up,” according to “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert.
So, Stewart donned a horrible wig and Colbert painted Cheetos orange dust on Stewart’s face — and Stewart “brought the Trump.”
“These 9/11 first responders are the most top-notch, first-class, diamond-encrusted heroes American can produce. Don’t let Congress play politics with this necessary bill. If I’m elected — and I will be elected — I will build a wall around politics and I will make politics pay for it,” Stewart said.
“Tell ’em Donald said pull up your big-boy pants and make America great again,” he said.

This week of Jon Stewart makes me realize how much I miss him.
His second act may be even better than his first. Stay tuned.
Why is it that so many talented comedians tend to be decent people?
I hadn’t realized it before now…I had thought Donald was an Autumn but I see he’s a Cheeto.
I am 100% certain that Jon Stewart has NOT asked the 9-11 First Responders who they like in next year’s election because I am sure that Trump has many of their votes sewn up. The very people he’s trying to help are wincing at this.
NYC cops, firefighters and first responders are hardcore GOP voters, and even their own imminent deaths probably wouldn’t get them to pull the lever for Bernie or Hillary. Odd we never talk about our own local cognitive dissonance problem.
