In an interview with Fox News on Monday, Edward Snowden’s father urged his son not to release any top secret material that could “constitute treason.” Lon Snowden said he was concerned about his son’s immediate safety, and that while the Snowden family is “saddened” by Edward Snowden’s decision to release top secret National Security Agency documents, “it has not diminished our love for you.”

“Ed, I love you,” Lon Snowden said. “I love you and I wish you the best. I want you to come home.”
