Shooting At Family Research Council In D.C.

A security guard was shot and wounded inside the Family Research Council building in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday morning, according to ABC 7. The FBI is on the scene.

“The police are investigating this incident,” Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council said via a statement on the FRC website. “Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family.”

UPDATE: The suspect is in FBI custody, TPM’s Ryan J. Reilly confirms.

UPDATE II: The guard was “conscious and breathing after the shooting,” reports ABC 7.

UPDATE II: After initial reports of two shooting victims, ABC 7 is now reporting just one person, a security guard, was shot in the arm.
