Senate Advances Unemployment Benefits Extension

The Senate voted 60-37 Tuesday to invoke cloture on Sen. Jack Reed’s (D-RI) and Sen. Dean Heller’s (R-NV) bill to extend unemployment insurance benefits for three months. The bill needed 60 votes to advance.
