Senate Votes To Advance Tom Perez Nomination As Labor Secretary

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday voted to advance the nomination of Thomas E. Perez as the nation’s next Secretary of Labor by, overcoming a Republican filibuster by the thinnest possible margin of 60-40.
