The Senate Intelligence Committee has told the White House that it wants to interview adviser Jared Kushner about meetings he attended with Russian officials as part of the committee’s investigation into ties between Russia and campaign aides to President Donald Trump, the New York Times reported Monday morning, citing unnamed officials in the administration and Congress.

It had previously been reported that Kushner attended a December meeting with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak and former national security adviser to Trump, Michael Flynn.

The New York Times confirmed in its Monday report that Kushner attended an additional meeting with another Russian official. Later in December, Kislyak asked Kushner for another meeting, and Kushner sent a deputy in his place, per the New York Times.

Kushner then met with Sergey N. Gorkov, the chief of a Russian state-owned bank, Vnesheconombank, in December after Kislyak asked Kushner to meet with Gorkov, the Times reported. White House spokeswoman Hope Hicks confirmed the meetings to the New York Times.

Hicks said that Kushner met with several foreign officials during the campaign and the transition and that he was willing to talk to the Senate committee.

“He isn’t trying to hide anything,” she told the Times.
