The Secret Service has cleared out the immediate areas surrounding the White House in the wake of deadly explosions in Boston, a spokesman said late Monday.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve expanded our security perimeter outside the White House complex,” Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie told TPM.

Ogilvie did not have any further information or provide details on how long they intend to maintain the expanded perimeter.
