Scott Rasmussen Parts Ways With Rasmussen Reports Polling Company

Scott Rasmussen has parted ways with Rasmussen Reports, the eponymous public opinion and media enterprise he founded in 2003, over “disagreements” in business strategy, the company’s board of directors confirmed in a statement Thursday.

Mike Boniello, the company’s CEO, will take over for Rasmussen until a replacement is found. While the company is no longer employing its founder, it will still utilize the same polling methodologies it has employed for over a decade.

Asked about the details of Rasmussen’s departure on Thursday, Ted Carroll, partner at Noson Lawen Partners and Rasmussen Reports’ majority investor, didn’t elaborate.

“Going into disagreements is disagreeable,” he told TPM.

Dylan Scott contributed to this report.
