Sarah Palin closed out the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference with praise for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and a warning for establishment Republicans.

“Thank you Texas because liberty needs a Congress on Cruz control,” Palin said in her speech Saturday.

Palin’s long speech on Saturday evening sometimes went into the slightly bizzare. She devoted a chunk of her speech to criticizing Obama in a Dr. Seuss’s Green, Eggs, and Ham style riff, a sort of hat tip to Cruz who read the children’s book on the Senate floor during a marathon speech in 2013.

“I do not like this spyin man, I do not like oh yes we can,” Palin said. “I do not like this spending spree. We’re smart, we know nothing’s free.”

She also weighed in on foreign policy and events in Ukraine saying “Mr. President, the only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke.”

But Palin repeatedly turned back to GOP infighting.

“You know that 2010 tea party victory that swept you into power? You didn’t build that,” Palin said. “The tea party did. So dance with the one that brought ya and you want another sweep? Then grab a broom and join the party.”
