MSNBC and the Associated Press projected Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) as the winner of Colorado’s Democratic presidential caucuses on Tuesday night.
According to the AP, Sanders earned 58.4 percent of the vote compared to 40.4 percent for his opponent Hillary Clinton.
The two-term senator had a promising showing on Super Tuesday, earning victories in Vermont and Oklahoma. As of 11:15 p.m. ET, Sanders was also leading the polls in Minnesota.
Clinton lost the 2008 Colorado caucuses to President Barack Obama by a two-to-one margin.
He’s BAAAAACK from the dead. Feeling the late state BEEEERRRN!!!
Hail Colorado and Minnesota!
Back on the convention road we go.
Looks like Bernie is winning comfortably in Denver, which has a large minority population (about 32% Latino and about 10% African-American…though I don’t know if the numbers participating in the Democratic caucuses are more or less than that). Will be interesting to see what the exit polls show as to how Latinos voted in Colorado.
