Rubio Accuses Obama Of Creating ‘Culture Of Intimidation’

Accusing President Barack Obama repeatedly of creating a “culture of intimidation,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Thursday blasted the White House over the twin scandals engulfing both the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice.

“As I said yesterday on the floor of the Senate, this organization of his, this administration has created a culture of intimidation,” Rubio said during an interview on Fox News Channel. “It is his campaign. It is this White House. It is basically an attempt to muscle anyone who is their political opponent and use whatever power they have at their disposal to intimidate people who they don’t agree with, whether it is the Associated Press, whether it’s witnesses at the State Department or whether it is using the IRS to go after groups that don’t agree with the Obama agenda. This is an administration that has created a culture of intimidation through its campaign, and through the White House and throughout the federal government.”

Rubio invoked the phrase “culture of intimidation” several times throughout the interview, as well as in a subsequent interview with MSNBC. Watch TPM’s highlight reel:
