At a town hall event in Iowa, Mitt Romney partly blames agriculture problems on the Dodd-Frank bill.
“In my view, one of the biggest challenges we have in agriculture today is getting loans. What I hear from [community bankers] is that a new bill called Dodd-Frank has scared the dickens out of them… So as [community banks] have pulled back, it’s made it harder for young people to get the loans they need to start farming.”
