Fox News CEO Roger Ailes told The Hollywood Reporter that his relationship with Rupert Murdoch is just fine, despite the rumors swirling that the two disagree on how the network should cover Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

“My relationship with Rupert has never been better — I talked to him three times today, and none of the conversations involved Donald Trump or the New York Times,” Ailes told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

The New York Times reported on statements Murdoch, executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, privately made about the presidential candidate. Gabe Sherman of New York magazine quoted an anonymous source who said that Murdoch has tried to get Ailes to have the conservative news channel “back off the Trump coverage.”

The Hollywood Reporter also noted that Trump has appeared on Fox about the same number of times as other 2016 Republican candidates.
