First Lady Michelle Obama on Monday congratulated Robin Roberts after the “Good Morning America” host publicly acknowledged her same-sex relationship for the first time.

On Sunday Roberts posted the Facebook message thanking her partner, Amber Laign, for her support during their 10-year relationship.

Roberts conducted the television interview in 2012 in which President Obama announced his support for same-sex marriage.
