A top Fox News executive and veteran of 17 years was “fired and escorted from his office” two weeks ago for “financial irregularities” and other breaches of his employment contract, The Hollywood Reporter reported Tuesday.
“After an extensive internal investigation of Brian Lewis’ conduct by Fox News, it was determined that he should be terminated for cause, specifically for issues relating to financial irregularities, as well as for multiple, material and significant breaches of his employment contract,” a spokesperson confirmed to the Reporter in a statement. “He was terminated for cause on July 25.”
Lewis also previously served as executive vice president of corporate communications and senior adviser to Roger Ailes, the CEO of the company.
