Egypt’s army chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, reportedly had a meeting Wednesday with opposition leader Mohamed El Baradei and top Sunni Muslim and Coptic Christian leaders, a source told AFP.
The parties discussed a plan that the military had threatened to invoke unless Morsi “meets the demands of the people” by a Wednesday deadline, which has since passed.
