David Shuster, formerly a big-named host for MSNBC and Fox News, will be joining Al Jazeera America as an evening anchor, Huffington Post reported Monday.
Al Jazeera America, which is expected to launch Aug. 20, is the cable news network owned by Qatar’s Al Jazeera Media Network that will replace Current TV. Al Jazeera America is said to have already hired 699 staffers, according to the Huffington Post.
Soledad O’Brien, formerly of CNN, has already signed onto the network to produce documentaries and serve as a special correspondent.
