The American people can breathe a sigh of relief. The elusive red panda, Rusty, that escaped from the National Zoo was found Monday afternoon, the zoo announced in a tweet.
Rusty had last been seen on zoo grounds at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Rusty the red panda has been recovered, crated & is headed safely back to the National Zoo!
