A Red Cross aid convoy prepared to reach a besieged area of Homs in Syria on Friday, Reuters reports. Opposition forces withdrew from the district on Thursday after government forces shelled the area for weeks. Syrian rebels said government forces began hunting down and killing rebels who stayed to cover the retreat, according to the report.
