A poll from Rasmussen has the Virginia Senate race between top contenders in a statistical dead heat, with Democrat and former VA Gov. Tim Kaine with the slimest of leads over former Republican Sen. George Allen, 46 – 45. The snap poll used 500 automated interviews with likely voters on Wednesday, Sept. 28th.
“The men are equally matched in terms of favorability as far as Virginia voters are concerned. Forty-seven percent (47%) have a favorable opinion of each of them. That includes 21% with a Very Favorable opinion of Kaine and 20% with a Very Favorable view of Allen,” Rasmussen wrote.
