Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel went after Mitt Romney Thursday at a fundraiser in Chicago for his response to Rush Limbaugh’s comments on Sandra Fluke.
Emanual said Romney lacked the “fortitude, the strength or the character” to stand up to Limbaugh.
Emanuel continued:
In my view, I thought what Rush Limbaugh said was absolutely not only wrong, but absolutely repulsive. That said, if ya can’t stand up to Rush, how ya gonna stand up to Russia?
WLS Radio reports that after the event, Emanuel agreed that Bill Maher’s use of other vulgar words to describe Sarah Palin were also out of line. After Limbaugh called Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute,” Romney responded: “I wouldn’t have used those words.”
