Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) welcomed President Barack Obama to Austin on Thursday, shaking hands on the airport tarmac. Obama is kicking off his “Middle Class Jobs & Opportunity Tours” program in Texas this week where he will tour classrooms and deliver remarks at a local high school.
Obama and Perry spoke briefly out of earshot of reporters on the tarmac, according to a White House pool report.
