Former CIA Director David Petraeus is set to become a visiting professor of public policy in August at the City University of New York’s Macaulay Honors College, the university said in a release on Tuesday.
CUNY Chancellor Matthew Goldstein said in a written statement: “CUNY is profoundly honored to welcome Dr. Petraeus to our academic community. With his appointment, our students will have a unique opportunity to learn about public policy firsthand from a distinguished leader with extraordinary experience and expertise in international security issues, intelligence matters, and nation-building.’’
Reuters was first to report the news of Petraeus’ move. Petraeus resigned his post at the CIA after admitting to an affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.
