House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday that she thinks gay marriage could be the law of the land in the United States in five years.
“I certainly hope so,” she answered, when Meet The Press host David Gregory asked her if that was an achievable goal in a pre-recorded interview that aired Sunday.
“Look at how fast things have changed…The pace with which it has accelerated in the past few years is very encouraging,” she said. “Let’s hope it’s even sooner than that.”
