OpenStreetMap, the free, crowdsourced digital world map that now claims 800,000 volunteer cartographers around the globe, has gotten a boost from Russian search giant “Yandex” (the country’s Google equivalent), which donated a new server to host OpenStreetMap’s map tiles, the OpenStreetMap Foundation announced on its blog Wednesday.
