“Occupy” protesters planned to shut down the University of California Regents meeting Monday, but so far the meeting has proceeded without much incident. The Los Angeles Times reports that crowds were fairly light outside UC Davis, where a shocking pepper spraying incident occurred two weeks ago. Student leaders said turnout was light because it was the Monday after Thanksgiving break, according to the report.
