Emboldened by a victory over the government shutdown and federal debt ceiling, President Barack Obama on Thursday urged Congress to take up action on three priorities by the end of the year: the budget, immigration reform, and passage of a stalled farm bill.

“We can get them done by the end of the year if our focus is on what’s good for the American people,” Obama said in a statement from the White House.
