President Barack Obama will use the bully pulpit on Tuesday to urge Congress to extend emergency unemployment insurance, according to the White House schedule.
Obama is expected to deliver the remarks at 11:40 a.m. ET in the East Room.
Senate Democrats postponed a scheduled test vote on Monday for an extension of the emergency benefits, a possible indication that they are closing in on the 60 votes necessary to break a potential filibuster.
