At a welcome ceremony held shortly after his arrival Wednesday in Tel Aviv, President Barack Obama invoked the local language to express his pleasure in returning to Israel, according to a White House pool report.
“It’s good to be back in the land of Israel,” Obama said in Hebrew, drawing applause from the crowd.
