Obama: Remember, Obamacare Was Romney’s Idea (VIDEO)

President Barack Obama speaks about college financial aid, at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa., Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at the last stop on his two-day bus tour of upstate New York and Pennsylvania.

President Barack Obama dragged his 2012 rival back into the debate over the Affordable Care Act, reminding supporters at an event Friday in Scranton, Pa. that the federal health care law drew heavily from the measure enacted by Mitt Romney when he was governor of Massachusetts.

Obama was promoting his proposals to bring down the price of college education, indicating that it will be no easy task to build bipartisan support. The law widely known as Obamacare should have GOP support but it doesn’t, Obama said.

“These are ideas that should have bipartisan support. Of course, so should Obamacare. It’s actually a really good idea, it’s gonna work.”

“It used to be a Republican idea. There was a governor in Massachusetts who set it up. It’s working really well.”
